CAHNference Wrap Up!
CAHNference 2025
As CAHNference Planning Co-Chair, I am thrilled to share that this year’s conference was an incredible success. The energy, engagement, and sense of community throughout the weekend were truly inspiring. From the opening keynote by Dr. Naheed Dosani on palliative care in homeless populations to the dynamic sessions covering innovative models of care, hepatitis B and C updates, liver disease management, our first translated presentation, and the unveiling of CAHN’s 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, the program reflected the depth and diversity of hepatology nursing practice in Canada. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all attendees, presenters, sponsors, and especially to our CAHN members for your ongoing support and dedication. Your participation and feedback are what make CAHNference such a valuable and vibrant space for learning and connection. The feedback we’ve already received highlights how relevant and practical the sessions were for everyday nursing practice, and it’s wonderful to know that so many of you are bringing new ideas back to your communities and clinical settings.
Looking ahead, we are excited about next year’s CAHNference that will be held in Montréal! We’re already buzzing with ideas and look forward to building another strong, engaging program. To help us continue delivering meaningful and high-quality education, we want to hear from you—what worked well, what could be improved, and what topics or formats you’d like to see in the future. Please take a few moments to share your feedback when the post-conference survey arrives. Together, we can continue to strengthen our network, advance our practice, and ensure that CAHNference remains a highlight of the year for all hepatology nurses across Canada.
