Membership
Full CAHN memberships are available to nurses in Canada who work with patients with liver disease. For those who do not meet these criteria, we are excited to offer our Friends of CAHN option, which allows non-members access to CAHN’s educational tools and events. CAHN Membership
CAHN is run by members for members. Education and patient care are our top priorities. To support this, CAHN offers a generous travel reimbursement benefit to ensure easy access to our educational events. CAHN strives to ensure education is accessible to all members, including those who find travel to be a barrier. In 2020 we introduced our first virtual event, which initiated the creation of our new video educational library. CAHNs is member-led. Your membership includes voting rights to help steer the association. Keep scrolling to see all the benefits offered to members for only $115 annually.

Membership Requirements
CAHN memberships are for Canadian nurses who work with patients with liver disease. For those who do not meet these requirements, including nurses currently working in a non-nursing role, we invite you to join us as a Friend of CAHN. See below for details.
Friends of CAHN
Our Friends of CAHN initiative allows those not qualifying for a full CAHN membership to access CAHN’s educational content, tools and events. For only $75 per calendar year, this option is for anyone with interest in hepatology, including physicians, allied health professionals, health care professionals outside of Canada, and nurses in Canada currently working in a non-nursing role.
Friends of CAHN are non-members who do not attend the Annual General Meeting and do not have voting rights. Friends of CAHN receive a special invitation and second-priority access to CAHN events such as CAHNference and the Canadian Liver Meeting. Friends of CAHN receive the same registration discount offered to members. In addition, you will receive access to CAHN’s digital education library and hepatology tools through your own member dashboard. Scroll down to see more benefits!

Interested in becoming a member?
At this current time, when so many of us feel extra isolated, both in our working and personal lives, being able to connect and reach out to colleagues who understand the challenges and needs of a hepatology nurse is an unmeasurable benefit of your CAHN membership.
Renewal Notice
Renewal notices are sent near the end of November. Payment is due in January of every calendar year. If your membership lapses, you may re-join at any time. Your membership must be in good standing no later than one week prior to the Annual General Meeting in order to qualify for member reimbursement benefits.
