CAHNference is back this fall, and we’re excited to invite you to join us October 3–4, 2025, at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC. This year’s theme, Resilient and Rising, celebrates the strength, innovation, and unwavering dedication of hepatology nurses across Canada.
The weekend will begin with a Friday Dinner, Networking and Awards Celebration, followed by a full day of inspiring presentations and professional development on Saturday. CAHNference 2025 is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, share knowledge, and rise together as a resilient community committed to advancing liver health.

CAHNference 2025 Call For Abstracts - Due Soon!
We are excited to announce a call for abstracts for CAHNference 2025!
Abstracts will highlight groundbreaking approaches, best practices, and research that contribute to improving liver health outcomes. The focus is on nurse-led initiatives but we welcome submissions from researchers, healthcare professionals, and organizations involved in liver health care and research.
The chosen presenters will receive complimentary registration as well as a $250 honorarium. Presenters must be able to attend CAHNference in person to present their abstract. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, August 15. Presenters will be chosen by September 1.
CASL Single Topic Conference
Following CAHNference 2025, CASL will be hosting their Single Topic Conference on Autoimmune and Rare Liver Disease from October 6–7, 2025, at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver.
The CASL STC is being held alongside the CST Annual Scientific Meeting, creating a great opportunity for shared learning and collaboration. One special feature will be the Joint CASL & CST Liver Forum, designed to bring together attendees from both events for networking and discussion.
The CASL STC will focus on the latest developments and challenges in autoimmune and rare liver diseases, with sessions covering:
- Mechanisms of cholestatic liver disease
- Real-world challenges in diagnosing and managing genetic cholestasis
- 2025 updates on autoimmune liver diseases
- Controversies in managing autoimmune liver disease

AHA 2025 Conference
The Australasian Hepatology Association’s 2025 Conference will be held November 13–14 in Sydney. With the theme “Inspiring Excellence Through Innovation and Connection,” this event offers two days of learning, networking, and expert-led sessions for hepatology nurses and allied health professionals.

Scoping Out the Prairies: Advancing Gastroenterology Nursing and Practice
The Canadian Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (CSGNA) is hosting their annual conference themed “Scoping Out the Prairies.” This national event brings together GI nurses and associates from across Canada for a weekend dedicated to learning, collaboration, and innovation. Conference objectives include exploring emerging diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in gastroenterology and endoscopy, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and promoting the exchange of ideas to enhance patient care.

HEP-DART 2025
HEP-DART 2025 will be held December 7–11 in Honolulu, Hawaii, marking 30 years of advancing hepatitis research and care. This international CME-accredited conference brings together experts to discuss the latest in hepatitis B, C, D, and E, HCC, and MASLD/MASH, with sessions on therapeutic strategies, translational science, and global elimination.
Prioritizing women in the hepatitis C response
CATIE is hosting a webinar exploring the unique risk factors that contribute to hepatitis C disparities among women, with a focus on gender-responsive strategies to improve care, especially around pregnancy and reproductive health. Moderated by Madison Kennedy and Romane Close, the session will feature expert speakers from York University, CHUM, Université de Montréal, and Doctors of the World.
Digestive Health Centre Forum 2025
The Digestive Health Centre (DHC) Forum 2025 is taking place November 24–25 in Vancouver, BC. As BC’s leading event in digestive health, the Forum brings together experts across disciplines for two days of workshops, hands-on training, and evidence-based sessions. With content tailored for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, this year’s program will explore innovations in endoscopy, liver disease, IBD, colorectal surgery, nutrition, and more.
INHSU 2025
INHSU 2025 is happening this October in Cape Town, South Africa—the first time back in the region since INHSU Africa 2020. The conference will bring together a global community to share research, best practices, and strategies to support the health and well-being of people who use drugs.
Early bird registration is now open, and abstract submissions are encouraged.
